D-Link CARDBUS 10/100MBPS, 32 BIT: MODEL- DFE-690TXD VENDOR- D-LINK FEATURES- 32-bit Cardbus 10/100Mbps Ethernet Adapter The DFE-690TXD is a 32-bit Cardbus 10/100Mbps NWay Fast Ethernet PC Card with a built in connector, allowing direct plug-in for a RJ-45 LAN cable to a laptop and notebook computers. The DFE-690TXD pro- vides connectivity for mobile users to easily connect to a network accessing databases and resources in diverse environments. The DFE- 690TXD is targeted at users of notebook or laptop computers with either the current Cardbus or the legacy PCMCIA controllers. The DFE-690TXD adheres to IEEE 802. 3 and IEEE 802. 3u standard, which specify existing 10BASE-T and 100BASE-TX Ethernet technology; supporting both half and full duplex modes with data rates to 10/100Mbps and 20/200Mbps. The DFE-690TXD also utilizes auto- negotiation to adjust the speed to any 10BASE-T or 100BASE-TX network. With the DFE-690TXD s 4KB RAM data buffer, all incoming data is processed and stored into temporary memory, eventually being filtered out allowing a smooth transition of data flow. The DFE- 690TXD extensive diagnostic LEDs show link connectivity for both 10Link/Activity and 100Link/Activity. Designed with a plug-and-play feature, the DFE-690TXD allows the user to simply install the adapter for automatic detection. Once installed, the DFE-690TXD can be removed while the computer is still in operation due to hot swapping capabilities.
