great TYPE of knife, some doubts
I bought this as a gift, so have not used it myself. I have another knife of this type, but different manufacturer, bought some years ago; I love it. Cuts crusty bread, but also tomatoes, hard boiled eggs -- anything with delicate insides -- smoothly and well. Also looks good.
This one, however, is different in a couple of ways from the one I love: not carbon steel, so may be less sharp, but also not in danger of rusting; no slip-on cover for the blade (on mine, the blade is very sharp); no thong by which to hang it.

good knife for bread
Wood is not as pictured dosent apper to be the same as in pictures. I also have a bow knife that is much better as . the relief between the blade and handle is wider and the blade is reversable not fixed
