Solid Feeling Remote
I purchased this remote as an upgrade to the standard on/off variety that came with my Peterson logs/burner and am overall pleased with it. The thermostat function is handy to have the fireplace turn on and off at a set temperature (which is easily set) and the remote provides visual feedback as to what it's set up to do. The one issue I have is that I cannot figure out how to set the timer. I had hoped I could set the remote to just leave the logs on for a few hours for ambiance, and just let them shut off on their own, but I can't find mention of this in the instruction manual. [...]
