The handle is too small for the weight of the top. You will need some type of lid lifter to prevent dropping or burning yourself especially when it is hot.

flippin' my lid!
I bought this lid for a 15" skillet so I can use it to braise and slow-cook meals. It's a perfect fit and it seals in the heat and juices, making my meals turn out better than ever.

Just what I needed!
I've only had this for about 2 months. I have a 15" cast iron Lodge pan, but Lodge doesn't make a cover to fit, interestingly. This was a perfect fit!
