Things To Love:
The American-made Vidalia grill is assembled by hand using a combination of aluminum and stainless steel components. All of the working components such as the cooking grid and flavor bars
are made with durable 304 grade stainless steel. Vidalia uses aluminum because it has a shiny appearance and its lower cost helps keep the price of the grill down.
The cooking performance is the most unique aspect, and Vidalia is much more versatile when compared with most gas grills. It's really designed more like a convection oven, allowing you to not only grill but smoke, broil, bake, roast, and much more. The grill has separate direct and indirect cooking surfaces, making it one of the only gas grills that effectively smokes. When grilling steaks, place them over the direct side and the “h-shape” stainless steel burners will put out plenty of high heat to get great sear lines. If you haven’t experienced indirect cooking, its one of the best ways to cook on a grill because your food is never exposed to direct flame. As a result, there are no flare-ups to worry about, no constant turning, and your food will retain incredible moisture.
Vidalia also has versatile fuel options, for example you can layer charcoal or hardwood over the burner and use gas to light your fuel. For even more innovative cooking performance, slide the marinade pan directly over the burners and do stir-fry or steaming. The pan is also made of stainless steel so cleanup is pretty simple.
Things To Consider:
Some of the external grill housing is made with aluminum which isn’t as durable as stainless steel. Aluminum won’t rust, but it is prone to corrosion which can still damage the material.
Despite the innovative cooking performance, Vidalia doesn’t offer many extra features like internal grilling lights.
Vidalia’s primary focus is building gas grills and their related accessories. They don’t offer a line of outdoor kitchen components, so you'll have to choose universal accessories to match.
