The Skinny:

  • No frills design with a sleek industrial look
  • Thick quartz dual heating elements
  • Parabolic specular reflector
  • Wall or ceiling mount
  • Simple brackets for easy install

Things We Love:

Dual Element Heating

Bromic Cobalt Smart-Heat Series electric infrared patio heaters are high-performance models thanks to their dual quartz heating elements that create short-wave infrared heat. Traditional patio heaters simply send heat outward in a circle, but infrared waves travel in a straight line through the air to warm only objects and people. Because of this heating method, Bromic Cobalt Smart-Heat series units lose little heat to wind or other environmental factors.

These heaters are further strengthened by parabolic specular reflectors that boost directional infrared heat over areas as big as 160 square feet for the 56-inch model and 130 square feet for the 44-inch unit. The thick quartz heating elements even produce a soft amber glow that’s much more pleasing than the harsh glare usually found in traditional patio heaters.

Durable Construction

Constructed simply but sturdily, Bromic Cobalt Smart-Heat models won’t let you down. They’re built with stainless steel throughout, giving them strong resistance to rust and whatever else the weather throws your way. You need a patio heater that will withstand the elements for years to come, and these models are the perfect addition to your outdoor heating plans.

Bromic’s Cobalt heaters also provide minimalism and a sleek look to your outdoor area. You can position them in a variety of places with easy bracket adjustment, and Bromic also offers several patio heater accessories that allow you to customize and mount your units to fit your design needs.

Things To Consider:

Keep in mind, these heaters use 208V, 240V or 277V AC current and must be hard-wired by a licensed electrician. Ask your electrician to determine the suitability for your space. If you don’t know how many heaters you will need to properly heat your outdoor space, our Free Outdoor Living Design Service is a great resource. They can help you determine how many heaters you will need as well as the perfect layout of your outdoor space.

Question:
Do have two different brackets depending on the mount? Your pics for the wall mount for this heater looks much closer to the wall. Hence flush mount. Insight? I received what looks like the ceiling mount only.

Answer:
Hi, Bob. The brackets for the Bromic Cobalt are intended for ceiling or wall mounting. There is a flush mounting kit available for it, however.

Question:
1) I cannot see in this ad if the 4,000 W and the 6,000 W are UL listed or UL/CUL listed. 2) How close to a ceiling fan can this be mounted?

Answer:
Hi Shar, the 4,000W and 6,000W are not UL or UL/CUL listed. Bromic recommends a distance of 12" of clearance on the sides of the heater.

Question:
Can you please let me know which one of your model has remote control ? Is is ok to use the 240v In 110 v panel?

Answer:
Hi Farah! This model you are looking at has the option to add a wireless controller under Optional Accessories. This model needs to be hard wired using 208 volts. Contact your local licensed electrician with any electrical questions or give us a call at 877-743-2269 if you have any further product questions!

Is this safe to use on the wood ceiling of a screened in porch? The porch has wood everything, so we want to be sure whatever we buy isn't a fire hazard.

Hi Ivy. With the proper clearances adhered to, you should be fine. Installation instructions and clearances can be found in the manual on the manufacturers downloads section of the page.

When will my item arrive?

Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we’ve all come to expect for small parcels, so it’s important that you’re prepared and understand what’s required of you well before delivery day.

  • Most freight products ship on a pallet
  • Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
  • We’ll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.

For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:

Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can’t be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we’ve only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.

For carriers that deliver without an appointment:

Carriers that deliver without an appointment don’t require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren’t required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you’re home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you’re out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
