Assembled and ready to go!

Haven't grilled with it yet, expecting great things! Very simple to assemble though.

Into year 3 - still agree it's #1 pellet smoker!

Researched many mfgrs. before deciding on my SmokePro PG36LUX. Love it!. We have only used it for meats that we, our kids and grandkids love. Pork (Boston Butt shoulders, candied bacon, loins, BB ribs, brats) Chicken, Turkey, Salmon. comment 1 - We smoke thru-out the winter, and saw a post to insulate the smoker with a welders blanket to conserve and equalize heat - this has worked great! Drape it over smoke chamber only. comment 2 - Just found out a louvered drip pan is available for this 36" model to help distribute heat - this has not been a big problem, but it is a good option. comment 3 - When opening lid, probe cools, and it adds pellets. A short length of iron pipe, capped one end, placed over probe that lets me baste, rotate, flip meats around without it sensing a cool down. When finished, remove pipe, lay it on grate, close lid and heating resumes. I would highly recommend Camp Chef Pellet Smokers!

High Quality All Around Smoker/Grill

We are a premier 60+ resident Assisted Living provider in central North Dakota that provides our residents a great living atmosphere and very fine unique dining. We purchased the Camp Chef SmokePro LUX 36 with the sear box this spring (2019) to add to the fine dining experience and what a great addition it was! This smoker/grill gets a regular weekly and sometimes bi-weekly workout smoking or grilling an average of 45-50lbs of beef brisket, 9-11 full racks of pork or beef ribs, 50-60 8oz steaks, loaded double racks of chicken pieces or bratwurst with rave reviews from our residents and their guests. This grilling/smoking menu is becoming so popular that we are budgeting for another Camp Chef to keep up with the demand from the increased resident guest influx on grill night! The Camp Chef SmokePro LUX 36 has preformed great so far, the only thing I don't like about this smoker is the hot spot area created by the location of the firebox. It seems to me that it should be located more in the center and further away the bottom grates. I find that I have to do a lot of meat rodeo to keep the cooking even both on the indirect and direct grilling. The hot spot is a learning curve you have to get used to with this pellet smoker verses a stick or charcoal smoker which I am more used to, but the ease, consistency and convenience of the pellet system is hard to beat!

Thoroughly impressed and now a pellet believer

Fair warning this behemoth comes in a large box on a pallet and in a Semi so make plans to meet the guy with your truck if you live on a small private road. Ask me how I know. Easy to assemble albeit it took a moment of staring at the paperwork to figure out the instructions are basically a spec diagram with all the individual pieces pulled apart but still lined up the right way. Once I put it together I couldn't decide what to cook first so I settled for some poor mans burnt ends because it was much quicker than a full brisket and it was a new concept I wanted to try out. Basically a Chuck roast cooked up just like you would smoke a full packer brisket. They turned out just like burnt ends and only take about 5 hours. After I had my confidence up with it I pumped out butts full briskets and quite a few cuts of deer. This was a great decision because working night shift I can put something on in the morning and sleep comfortably throughout the day knowing my smoker is right in check. I was skeptical about pellets but this thing has made me a believer. I even hooked up my Smoke pro temp monitors the first couple of cooks to check and it has been within 10 degrees on the grill temp and the meat probe was always within 5 degrees of it and me thermapen. I'll be back with more updates after I've put more miles on it because I plan on running this thing ragged.

Absolutely Awesome Pellet Grill

I have had my Pro Lux 36 for over a year now. It has been absolutely amazing! I use it at least 4 to 6 days a week and have had no issues at all. It smokes meat perfectly. Always juicy and tender. The flavor and smoke ring in my food are equal to that of any wood type smoker without the hassle. I also purchased the blanket since it gets pretty cold where I live. I have used my pellet grill well into the single digits with no problem. I also purchased the jerky rack system. Its great for jerky and I also use it for making pizza. That way the dough doesn't fall through the grate and I don't have to use a pan or a stone. It can absorb more of that wood fire taste. The jerky racks also let me make large amounts of smoked chicken wings! I usually make 60 or more at a time with no problems. Cleaning the grill is a breeze with the patented ash clean out system. After about 100 lbs of pellets burned, I take the the drip try out and vacuum out the bottom. It super easy. Cleaning the grate can be a little more difficult, but I just wash it with the hose after removing the heavy material. If you are looking for a pellet grill, this is the on to get!

Absolutely love it

I have smoked fish, jerky, brisket, steaks pork, chicken and my favorite wings ! Does extremely well and only regret is did not get one sooner. Excellent Value !! Wished the lid fit tighter but the smoke has to go out somewhere. Range of heat is out of this world. Just over 1 year old and used at least once a week and usually twice. Take care if it and still looks new !!

Prefect for the lazy chef!

Positives - Ease of assembly - Ease of cleaning - Automated temperature control - Capacity - Time from startup to cooking Negatives - Instructions leave much to be desired Received my Camp Chef SmokePro LUX on 28Jun. The efficient design of the product and packaging made out easy to have it unboxed and fully assembled in under an hour! First time use was to make a wood-fired pizza (Papa Murphy's take & bake). I set the temp to 400°, inserted my pizza stone, preheated, and popped the pizza in. I can honestly say, pizza will take me some practice, as at that low temp, it took about 20-30 minutes to cook fully ...even with bumping the temp up toward the end. Next time I'll set the temp higher, and try not to open/check on it as often. The pizza was crispy around the edges, with a firm...ish crust. The taste was amazing. Higher temps next time will help with crisping up the crust. My wife, who was less than enthused, has done a complete 180! She called me while or grocery shopping, asking if she should add some tuna steaks to the cart (this, in addition to spareribs, and ground beef). Can't wait to smoke the tuna steaks for dinner tonight. The 4th of July holiday will see spareribs, and a tri-tip, with a 14# brisket (my first) to come later in the month, to feed visiting family! Cannot wait! Let the adventures continue!

Free Shipping on orders over $49

When will my item arrive?

Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we’ve all come to expect for small parcels, so it’s important that you’re prepared and understand what’s required of you well before delivery day.

  • Most freight products ship on a pallet
  • Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
  • We’ll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.

For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:

Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can’t be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we’ve only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.

For carriers that deliver without an appointment:

Carriers that deliver without an appointment don’t require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren’t required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you’re home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you’re out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
