DCS grills are engineered for people who want to cook just like a professional chef in their own home. This 48-inch propane gas built-in grill features four 25,000 BTU U-shaped stainless steel burners that push an impressive total of 100,000 BTUs of cooking power. Each burner features a heat shield that directs heat upwards, maximizing grilling efficiency. DCS grills offer Ceramic Radiant Technology, which is a layer of ceramic rods placed between the burners and cooking grate. The rods provide intense, yet even heat, ensuring the temperature is consistent across the entire grilling surface. This innovative feature allows you to sear meat to perfection anywhere on the cooking grid. This grill boasts an 855 square inch main cooking surface with durable, double-sided cast stainless steel cooking grids. One side has a gentle curve which supports and handles fish and vegetables. The other side of the grates accommodates steaks and other cuts of meat, capturing grease while creating perfect sear lines. Large food items can comfortably fit on the grill, thanks to a hood designed with extra space and a full 90 degrees of movement. DCS Series 9 grills feature a wider range of cooking temperatures with valves that can be turned down to as low as 300 degrees at the grilling surface. The patented Grease Management system effectively channels grease and oil away from the flame while grilling, which greatly reduces flare-ups. The 18,000 BTU infrared rear burner functions perfectly for slow-roasting, and the included rotisserie kit can accommodate up to 50 lbs! The rotisserie is not in use, the spit rod can conveniently be stored under the drip pan handle. The charcoal smoker tray includes its own cooking grate and can easily be placed over one of the burners. Simply remove one of the cast stainless steel cooking grids and ceramic rod trays, then place the charcoal smoker box over the burner. Either grill directly over it, or fill it with wood chunks to add more smoke to everything on your grill. This grill has a multi-level warming area with 2 warming racks and a broiling pan that can be rearranged to suit your needs. This gives you 738 square inches of additional versatile cooking area. The push and turn hot surface ignition operates with the ease of an indoor range, while intuitive lighting from a 40-watt halogen Smart Beam BBQ grill light, as well as the two hood lights, add visibility while you grill. LED lights in the knob bezels glow white when the grill is on, and orange when that specific burner is in use. The temperature gauge allows you to control cooking temperatures. Every DCS grill is handcrafted and constructed entirely of heavy gauge, type 304 stainless steel.

A lifetime warranty (labor not included) is given on the stainless steel grill burners, stainless steel grill cover, burner box, cooking grates and grill racks (excluding discoloration or surface corrosion). In addition, all DCS grills have a two year (2) limited warranty covering parts and labor for the entire product, and a five (5) year comprehensive warranty covering the radiant trays, radiant tray side rails and drip pans. Should structural deterioration occur to the degree of non-performance, a replacement will be furnished. Lifetime is defined as normal domestic use and service for the lifetime of the original purchaser.

Amazing Grill!!I upgraded my built-in Weber grill to the DCS Series 9 Evolution 48" grill a couple years ago, and this grill is outstanding! My old grill had hot spots whereas this DCS does not, and the heat output is unmatched. I haven't used the rotisserie yet, but plan to cook my Thanksgiving turkey with it in a few weeks. LOVE this Grill -We spent months researching grills while our outdoor oasis was being built in 2021. We decided on the DCS 9 Evolution. At first, we were going to order the 36-inch, but decided on the 48-inch. The 48-inch has plenty of cooking landscape for large gatherings, but it also is perfect for cooking full meals for the two of us. We have cooked baby back ribs, hamburgers, hot dogs, lobster tail, shrimp, salmon, brisket, pork chops, turkey breast, corn, asparagus, multiple fresh veggies, buns, tortillas, grilled cheese, along with various fam fav recipes. We have also used the rotisserie multiple times: prime roast, whole chickens, 30-pound Turkey. This grill does it all. My brother has a free-standing gas grill (steaks), pit (brisket), and a pellet grill (ribs). He was amazed at what all the DCS 9 Evolution can do and how well it cooks. He has said on multiple occasions that he wished he knew about this grill before investing in 3 different grills. As far as cons - We do not have any. We ordered our outdoor kitchen in April/May 2021, much was on backorder, but it all worked out in the long run as it took 11-months to complete our pool, deck, outdoor kitchen. We kicked off the opening of our backyard oasis in December 2021 (HOT Winter for Texans) and have been using our grill 5-7 days a week since then. There is not a single thing wrong with this grill. It is pricey, but this grill is solid. We do maintain the grill and are currently looking for a professional grill cleaner to do yearly maintenance/cleaning. DCS Series 9 grills have intuitive lighting built right into the hood. They illuminate the entire grilling area and emits a welcoming glow around the whole grill. Intuitive bezel lighting on the grill knobs glow white when the power to the lights are on. The lights change to orange when the burner is on. No more wondering if you remembered to turn off the burners.
The hood is designed to offer more room inside the grill for larger food items, and the lift-assist allows the hood to be opened easily and smoothly, using only one hand.
DCS grills are known for being high-powered machines, and the Series 9 is no exception, offering incredible cooking performance. The grill features hot surface ignition, which tends to be more reliable than spark ignition, and is powered by 304-grade stainless steel U-shaped burners that are capable of producing a wide temperature range from 300 degrees to an intense 1,100 degrees. While DCS tests and adjusts every burner at the factory, each DCS grill offers a low flame setting adjustment, allowing you to manually adjust each burner valves low setting to ensure you have the widest temperature range possible.
The grill includes unique ceramic rods beneath the cooking grates, that are spaced closely together and cover the entire grilling surface, providing an evenly heated cooking surface. Also, the ceramic rods greatly reduce flare-ups by vaporizing grease and delivering it back to your food as smoke.
If you enjoy smoking food or cooking with charcoal, the Series 9 includes a charcoal/smoker tray that can be inserted in place of one of the cooking grates and ceramic rod trays. The charcoal can be lit using the burner below. This is great for adding delicious smoke to your food while grilling, or you can use the grill as a smoker for low and slow cooking.
When cooking for a crowd, or smoking food low and slow, this grill offers a secondary cooking space that includes two stainless steel racks and a broiling pan that can be configured multiple ways. The racks are perfect for smoking, roasting, and warming, while the broiling pan can be used for catching flavorful drippings while roasting, or making sauces.
DCS' innovative, patented Grease Management System channels grease safely into the grease tray. This begins with the unique double-sided 304-grade cast stainless steel cooking grates that sit at an angle. One side of the grates have grooves that channel grease away from your food, and down into the pull-out grease tray, making clean up easier while reducing flareups. The other side is curved, offering an ideal surface for delicate foods such as vegetables or fish. If you are cooking foods that don't produce a lot of grease, the Series 9's grates can be positioned to sit flat as well.
The grill's rear ceramic infrared burner is one of the most powerful rotisserie kits I've ever used, which is powered by a water-proof motor capable of impressively turning up to 50 lbs of food. The rotisserie motor also features a handy built-in grill light. When not in use, the rotisserie rod can be snapped into place under the grease tray's handle for convenient storage.
To top it all off, DCS grills are covered by a lifetime warranty, along with a two-year on-site labor warranty, which is one of the best offered in the industry and proves that DCS stands behind the quality of their grills.
DCS makes a great add-on for the Series 9 built-in grills in the form of a side storage compartment. Conveniently store your charcoal tray and grates, or your secondary cooking racks and broiling pan when not in use.
Things To Consider:
While the ceramic radiant rods are great for producing even heat across the grilling surface, they are also breakable, and might need replacing at some point. If they break, it will usually be due to dropping something on them, like a cooking grid.
