This is a classic charcoal grill, for when you want to taste the rich woody charcoal flavor in your burgers and wieners. This Meco charcoal grill has a 21 1/2 inch square nickel-plated grilling surface with 342 square inches of usable cooking area. The elevated ash dump prevents premature grill destruction caused by bottom burnouts. Two handy, fold-away side tables made to look like real wood allow you a place to set burgers before you cook them, and a place to set them when removing them from the grill. This grill features stay-cool external knobs for easy grid adjustment while cooking, easy rolling wheels to aid transportation, and adjustable air vents in hood and bowl to save charcoal and control cooking temperatures. The hood is equipped with a stay-cool wooden-like handle so there's no need to reach for the oven mitt every time it's time to flip your burgers. Charcoal grills from Meco are for outdoor use only.

MECO for the BEST steaks, Chicken, ribs, etc...LOVE my Meco Grill.. B E S T on the market. Cooks food evenly and very well. I've cooked on many grills but Meco is the best. I am soooo happy my last grill survived shipping and I've cooked 3 meals on it already. I don't care about the weather. I cook out year around. I will be buying this product again in the future.I've been using this same model Meco Americana charcoal grill for over 30 years. I use them to they rust out. This will be my 4th Meco purchase in 30 years. I upgrade the bottom tray and grate to give grill longevity. family bbq workhorseThis grill is as well built as the one my father had in the 80s. Good air-flow through the vents and better than other brands. Side table and shelf underneath are very handy and worth the extra cost. Used for yearsWe have used ours regularly, except in winter months, for many years. The grill can hold two standard-size rectangular grilling baskets. The grill height controls are easy to use and give good cooking options. We hang grill-brushes from With the vents closed, closing the lid puts out the fire, saving unburnt charcoal and cooling the unit quickly. We use a metal charcoal chimney to start our fires. Could use a few modificationsThe instructions need a larger, more detailed picture for putting together the hinge brackets (connecting the top and bottom together. Also, the method of installing the bottom shelf is totally inadequate. I had to tape all four brackets around the legs so it wouldn't keep slipping down. | Was This Helpful? | |
Several errors in the assembly instructionsGo to the description and open the manual before you order. Notice part number 6 on page 3. See that a quantity of 10 are provided. Now look at page 4. You need 6 of them for step A. Then on page 5 you need 4 more for step C, another 4 for step D, and again another 4 for step E. 6+4+4+4=18 That's a total of 18 nuts needed to assemble this grill. There are other problems with the instructions. This is just the easiest to demonstrate in a written review. The grill itself is a 4/5 for quality and design.
