Tips on Outdoor Kitchen Plans & Ideas

Every great outdoor kitchen is broken into "zones" and strategically placed in order. By doing so, this creates a natural flow in your cooking and entertaining process. A good "tip" in planning your outdoor kitchen is to keep your next step zone in arms reach.

Before designing and creating the ultimate outdoor kitchen, consider a few things first:

1. Decide what you would like to do and how many guests would you normally entertain. Also consider the space you have dedicated to your new outdoor kitchen.

2. Be sure to consider all the pieces and kitchen equipment you need before building. *Storage and refrigeration can be overlooked at but should not be.

3. Utilities! An outdoor kitchen may need 40+ amps of electrical service and over 100,000 BTUs of gas capacity, not to mention water, drains, etc. *Professional Installation are highly recommended.

Below is a diagram created by Alfresco that displays the four zones needed to create the outdoor kitchen of your dreams.
