| nice additionBought the Cold Smoker for my Treager 34 grill and it works great. After we added a Steer Head to it my kids started calling it the Smoking Bull. | Great addition!!I've had my 075 Traeger for about 5 years with the cold smoker. Attaching it was not a big deal. It fits snug to the machine with no leaks. | Easy set up and assemblyAnticipated the arrival of this unit with bacon dreams and smoked salmon aplenty. Upon opening the box and reading the directions I see that assembly requires 2 people. Yes it's rather heavy and awkward. After some brain burning I easily assembled this unit alone. Save the shipping box that it comes in. Fold the top closed and flip it over. Push the carton right up against the side of the smoker that you need to work with. Inside the carton are four cardboard filler triangles in the corners. Take two of those and lay them on the top of the shipping carton. When the drum is set on top it is exactly the right height to easily line up the screw holes for assembly. I'm a 60 year old female. If I can do it you can too. Get that bacon and cheese in there without waiting for someone to help you and you have to share. Maple Bourbon bacon slabs are curing in the fridge for 5 more days and then it will be bacon heaven. I can't wait. This is a sturdily built unit made of the same materials and construction as the main section. Assembly was easy and did not take long. | Was This Helpful? |

| Dan SwansonJust ran 3 pounds of cheese for two hours in the cold smoker. Works like a champ - outstanding smoke flavor on my test (3 types of cheddar). Cut everything down to 2' widths or less. Really absorbed the smoke. I shrink-wrapped everything for two weeks in the fridge and it mellowed nicely. Ran another 3 pounds last week for Thanksgiving guests. The only complaint with the unit is the installation on my Texas model - even with the proper placement of the gasket piece it does not fit snugly - i.e. there is a small amount of 'slump' between the Texas and the cold smoker. | Was This Helpful? |
