 | Joining the "bent" crowdI have used this spatula for a few months and had been pleased with it up until now. This evening, I went to turn a burger that was stuck to the grill a bit. As I slid the spatula under the burger, the thing bent at a 90 degree angle! I was astonished, to say the least. After rescuing the burger with a standard kitchen spatula, I took a picture because my friends would never believe me. Staff Response:Thank you for your feedback. | Beautiful piece of junkIt starts to feel wobbly if you try to lift anything more than a pound and a half. | I wont miss it when its goneFirst time I used this Hamburger Flipper, it bent, me being the beefcake I am, and as a former firefighter I figured it got too hot, and also, at the same time, my incredible strength was just too much for this "Spatula" and it suffered a full on structural failure. Knowing my wife would kick my butt for breaking my new expensive spatula "I just had to have" wasn't going over well. Like MacGuyver, I quickly restored the mangled spatula to its somewhat original glory. The next time we used it, it folded like a cheap suit. | DisappointedI bought this as a replacement for an generic grill spatula based on an Americas Test Kitchen recommendation. I am disappointed in both Weber and ATK for this spatula. I can see why the off set was a boon, I like that too; but it doesn't makeup for the serious lack of quality. I can't use Weber's spatula as a helper to slide under Boston butt and scoot it to a different zone, like I can with my current spatula, it just bends. What a waste of money. I regret buying this spatula, and waiting so long to get around to using it. I will be scrutinizing Weber products a bit more than I have in the past based on this purchase. | Was This Helpful? |
