| Big ImprovementThis is a replacement for my original 15 year old Traeger and I couldn't be more happy with it. So far I have used it twice, once for a Tri-Tip roast and then a pork loin roast. Both came out juicy and flavorful while I essentially ignored them. I also appreciate the WiFi capability because I can use the app anywhere in the house to monitor and control the cook. My old bluetooth monitor worked well, but had limited range. I also hope the fact that this one is insulated will allow me to avoid having to move it in to the shade for low, slow cooking. With the old one, I had to move it out of the San Diego summer sun to keep the temperature down. Through the years I have had occasion to call Customer Service and have been pleased with their responsiveness. When I first got my old Traeger, I smoked some ribs and served them to my neighbor. He promptly went out and bought one. Just last year he replaced his with a newer model so there are at least two happy customers. | Was This Helpful? |
| Great grill even better customer service team.Bought the Ironwood and joined the Traeger nation after my Brand X smoker gave up the ghost. WOW and am I glad I did. When it arrived I got it assembled and moved right in its new place. But...... the WIFI connectivity was an issue. So here we go with the customer service calls and was I impressed. Why did I dread it. These guys worked and worked and worked until it was fixed. They said "hey grab a beer sit back and let us do our thing". And they did. Seems a hidden pesky firewall was stopping my firebox. Now Im sitting back with a beer enjoying cooking on my new Ironwood. It's good to know that behind every great backyard Traeger chef there is a team of folks making them look like a rockstar.
